A lot has been happening… I thought I’d take a few minutes to catch you up. My four picture books have been doing well! Last year I shifted my primary focus from promoting online, through this site and social media, to getting my books into local stores and doing author signing and reading events. It’s been nice to meet readers in person. Since my first children’s picture book was published just as the interaction restrictions of the pandemic were being instituted, this was the first time I was able to regularly engage in these types of activities. Now I’m trying to strike a better balance between time and energy spent interacting with my readers on and offline.

Gabby Loves Letters was posted on the Greenway
at Catawba Meadows Park!
Gabby Loves Letters, the alphabet picture book companion to Gabby Makes a Friend, was posted on the Morganton Greenway, at the Catawba Meadows Park entrance, from October of 2023 until mid-January of 2024. I am incredibly grateful to the Burke County Public Library Foundation for making it happen!

After running around for a year, to get my picture books into all of the local stores, I moved. I am in the Richmond area now and ready to hit the ground running, get the pages turning, put my books on the shelves! So far, my picture books are at the Book People and Barnes & Noble in Short Pump. Additionally, Willow can be purchased at MommaLuna, where I just had my first area event!
Three-Tailed Tales: Dolphin in Danger is coming along!
Three-Tailed Tales: Dolphin in Danger will (most likely) be released this fall! It’s a chapter book about three mermaids – Rain, Talia, and Star – who use their unique abilities to try and save Kyla, a dolphin in distress.
